How to use non-PTZ cameras for remote control?

Remote cameras are not a new trading tool, but their variety on the market is growing. Most manufacturers looking for robotic camera solutions will initially think of the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) system. Although these PTZ models are the backbone of the industry and often meet bud requirements, there are some restrictions. In this article, we will introduce some non-traditional systems and explain how to use them to gain greater freedom of movement and imaging options.

With the ability to manually control focus, aperture, and zoom, one or two Fz units can be paired with the spectrum for unobtrusive image control outside the PTZ camera. The added convenience and appeal of this system is that it does not require a separately purchased super expensive control interface. All of Spectrum's controls operate with a simple Sony PS4 wireless controller. This means that each function of the camera and motion control system is controlled by one operator.
